Here at Bossier Chiropractic, our chiropractor can answer all of your questions about herniated discs evaluate your back and provide you with a herniated disc treatment plan.
The discs in the spine are comprised of two sections of cartilage, including a center and outer ring. The center is softer than the outer ring. A herniated disc occurs when the inner section protrudes or breaks through the outer section. When this happens, it can press on the nerve roots, causing pain and a loss of range of motion in the spine.
You may need bulging disc treatment from our chiropractor if you are experiencing back pain, muscle weakness and loss of range of motion in your spine. In some instances, the disc herniation may put pressure on your sciatic nerve, causing leg pain and numbness and tingling.
Our herniated disc treatment options include chiropractic adjustments, corrective exercises and nutritional counseling to help heal herniated discs. Chiropractic adjustments can help realign misaligned vertebrae, which may help alleviate the pressure on the disc so that it can start to retract. If you have extremely weak back muscles, corrective exercises can help strengthen those muscles so that they can help support your spine. Our nutritional counseling services can help you get the nutrients you need in order to heal, and if excess weight is contributing to your disc herniation or back pain, we may be able to help you lose a few pounds.
Here at Bossier Chiropractic, we are your chiropractor in Bossier City, LA. To schedule an appointment for your herniated disc, call our chiropractic office at 318-747-5855.
